Chart sensation Tom Grennan transformed the Eden Project into a sea of happy faces on Friday evening, with his much-anticipated performance at this year’s Eden Sessions.

The summer rain showers didn’t dampen spirts with families, friends and loved ones who gathered at one of the world’s most iconic music venues, renowned for its stunning biomes, providing the perfect stage for this feel-good evening of entertainment.

As the crowds gathered in the open-air arena, as if by magic, the rain subsided making way for singer-songwriter Liv Dawson to take to the stage. With over 42 million streams under her belt and previous support slots for Tom Walker, Jessie Ware and Khalid, it felt like the perfect choice to get the party started.

Soon after, it was time for the main event. From the opening notes, it was clear the show was going to be high in energy.

Tom Grennan confessed: “I’m really looking forward to preforming these songs for you tonight, as it’s been a little while since we’ve played this set,” which the crowd welcomed with cheers of appreciation.

Grennan is a natural showman, with his soulful vocals rumbling through the Cornish landscape, resonating with fans who sang along to every word.

Hits like “Little Bit of Love” and “Remind Me” had the audience swaying and clapping in unison, creating a truly memorable night. There were a few touching moments too with slower songs, words of wisdom and a message of love and life.

Let’s take a moment to mention how iconic and instantly recognisable his voice is.

As the final song faded, the cheers that erupted were a testament to the love and appreciation for the performance.

Grennan ended the show, confirming: “I’ve been working really hard on some new music that I can’t wait to share with you all, real soon”.

It’s safe to say that news went down very well with the crowd.

His signature charm shone throughout, connecting with fans and captivating the crowd that spanned generations.

One festival goer told CHAOS Radio: “He was really humble and so grateful to be here. A couple of times I had shivers. You could tell he just loved it.”

Grennan’s genuine love for what he does and nice guy attitude made us feel warm, welcome and a little emotional at times. Like a cool and talented older brother, the singer delivered a performance that left ticket holders in awe of the boy from Bedford and craving more.

This year’s Eden Sessions have one final treat in store for us with X Factor icons JLS performing on Saturday, July 13 with special guest Tinchy Stryder.

The final few tickets are still available at www.edensessions.com.
