Residents at Harbour Housing put their baking skills to the test in a special Valentine’s Bake Off, with the Mayor of St Austell, Julian Young, and Education Consultant, Jenny Lingham, serving as guest judges.
The event saw residents across all Harbour Housing properties get creative in the kitchen, producing an array of delicious treats, including Rocky Road, Lemon Drizzle Cake, Unicorn Cupcakes, and a Harbour Housing Jam Tart. The competition was judged on presentation and taste, with each bake showcasing the residents’ enthusiasm and talent.
The energy of both participants and judges made for a fantastic atmosphere, culminating in four winners being awarded signed certificates from the mayor along with gift vouchers.
One of the winners expressed their excitement, saying: “I can’t believe that I won!” Another added: “I really enjoyed this. The room looks really nice with the decorations, and I hope that we can do another event like this.”
Harbour Housing extended their thanks to all the residents who took part, as well as to the judges for their time and dedication in making the event a success.
