Truro City were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Torquay United in front of a record crowd of 3,306 at The TCS on Good Friday.
Former City man Matt Jay scored the only goal of the game in the 65th minute, with Truro ultimately coming up short in their push for an equaliser, largely thanks to a string of key saves from Gulls custodian James Hamon, himself a former Tinner.
The result keeps the title race in National League South wide open with just two games to go.
