Gallery: Hootenanny Fayre Festival (Festival Arena)

If you were looking for a weekend that served up cowboy boots, confetti cannons, and cocktails in pineapples – the Hootenanny Fayre had you firmly in its sights, writes Tom Howe.

The latest event from the team behind Tunes in the Dunes and Tunes on the Sands took over the grounds of Port Eliot Estate near St Germans, bringing their signature blend of music, mayhem and magic to this tucked-away corner of Cornwall.

The Fayre delivered a nostalgic chart-topping bash that drew large crowds, headlined by none other than Olly Murs, whose catchy anthems had Friday’s crowd singing along in full voice, alongside iconic pop groups Blue, Liberty X and Cascada.

Saturday dialled the retro feel up to eleven with a reunion-style party that featured Sugababes, Freya Ridings, B*Witched and Gareth Gates alongside a popular trend in festival circles, the cover band, with Queen, Fleetwood Mac and Girls Aloud amongst the bands paid tribute to.
