A light drizzle and overcast skies greeted fans arriving for the latest Eden Sessions concert, featuring headline act The Script and support from Tom Walker, writes Janice Rose.
Many arrived early to explore the stunning Eden Project grounds before making their way to the arena, with younger attendees heading straight for the front barrier, eager to secure the best spot. The excitement was palpable as groups chatted and shared their anticipation for the performances ahead.
A visible stewarding and police presence ensured the event ran smoothly, with staff friendly and helpful throughout. Eden provided plenty of food and drink options, making the experience comfortable for everyone.
Tom Walker proved to be a big draw in his own right, with many in the crowd recalling his standout appearance at the nearby Tunes on the Dunes on Perranporth beach. His husky vocals and relaxed charm immediately set the tone as he launched into his opening number, “Head Underwater”, followed by the intimate “Just You and I”, written for his wife.
Walker encouraged the crowd to join in, joking about a recent failed singalong in Germany where no one knew the track but Eden more than made up for that, with voices filling the night sky. Performing with just a keyboardist and drummer, his rich set culminated on a high note with “Leave a Light On”.

As night fell and the wet conditions briefly returned, some feared a repeat of The Script’s famously rain-soaked previous Eden show but right on cue at 9.00 pm, the skies cleared, the lights rose, and the Irish soft rockers took to the stage amid cheers.
They opened with the instantly recognisable “Hall of Fame”, the crowd roaring in approval. Frontman Danny O’Donoghue, known for his powerhouse vocals and warm stage presence, kept the audience entertained between songs with witty banter.
He joked about trialling outfits for Glastonbury and shared a story about a recent sparring session that left him with a black eye – despite telling his partner he had major festivals coming up!
A standout moment came with “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved”, accompanied by evocative visuals of a quiet street corner. Danny explained how the song gained new life through its use in several TV series, introducing their music to a whole new generation, something reflected in the wide mix of ages in the crowd.

The band delivered hit after hit from their extensive catalogue, each song introduced with a story from Danny, offering insight behind the lyrics. The atmosphere felt more like an intimate evening among friends than a typical arena gig.
With stunning visuals, brilliant musicianship, and Danny’s signature Irish charm, The Script closed the night in style to thunderous applause.
As fans spilled out beneath the glowing biomes, one thing was clear from the smiles on their face – they’d enjoyed every second.
This was the second act of an impressive Eden Sessions line-up for 2025 that continues with:
